A week to remember

This week is definitely a week to remember as a parent, now on our seventh year of raising two wonderful children. We know very well the long mile ahead of us. It does hit me the day Matric result was declared this year, as I need all my fingers to count the number of years, for them to reach that far. It's a blunt truth that while my peer group sent their children off to college, I need to check whether their 'A' is straight and pointed. Sit with them while they draw with their imaginations, tell them bedtime stories and settle their arguments.

I am just a little bit behind experiencing the joy of parenting!

So, I was elated when my son came home with the award 'Super English speaker of the Day' on Wednesday. And my joy knew no bounds when my daughter was awarded 'Best Student of the Week' and came home with a badge on Friday. It was fun showing to family and friends. Thus, it is hard to let it pass and not scribbling about it in the Tablet of my heart.

This week is special for my son and daughter as they experienced a memorable moments in their lives. As parents, they have made us proud with their achievements and it will remain a Week to Remember in our lingering memories.

A song sung at the time of their dedication came to my mind, a song penned down by a great songwriter Laithangpuia -

En chim loh parmawi tur mi a lo piang,
Pawm nin theih loh, lawm leh tul thin;
Chawi lai nau lawmawm hi.
      Dam reng rawh se, Lal Isua rawngbawlah,
      Thangin lo lian thuai sela aw;
      Lal sipai sual do tur,
      Zion ralthuam hmangin Lalpa,
      Mal rawn sawm la!
